Zeytinliboğaz Permakültür Çiftliği

Zeytinliboğaz Permaculture Farm has its roots in the 1970s, when it began as a traditional family farm dedicated to animal husbandry, fruit orchards, vegetable gardens, and olive cultivation. When the previous owner could no longer continue working the land, the farm was entrusted to us in 2008, becoming the beginning of a new chapter. From that moment, we committed ourselves to learning from the land—observing natural processes, reading, researching, and listening to the wisdom found in both nature and local community traditions. Each season has brought new knowledge and encouraged us to transition from conventional farming toward regenerative agroecological practice.

Our approach is guided by permaculture ethics and ecological design principles that work with nature rather than against it. Through practices such as composting, soil regeneration, seed saving, water conservation, beekeeping, integrated livestock management, and food forests, we are creating a resilient ecosystem shaped by biodiversity and circular resource cycles. Over time, the land has become a living classroom—showing us how healthy soil, plants, animals, and people are all interconnected. This shift embodies the essence of agroecology: ecological farming rooted in community, traditional knowledge, and environmental stewardship.

Today, Zeytinliboğaz Farm is not only a productive agroecosystem but also a place of learning, exchange, and connection. Visitors are welcome to stay for camping, workshops, volunteering, or simply to experience quiet rural life immersed in nature. Whether arriving for a short stay or a deep learning journey in permaculture farming, guests become part of our evolving story—one that continues to prioritize harmony with the land, resilience, and a regenerative future for food and community.
