Sítio Tarumã

Brazil

Descripción breve del lugar y las prácticas

Sítio Tarumã is both our home and a living project dedicated to reforestation and the preservation of the Atlantic Forest. Guided by agroecological principles, we have transformed the land through sustainable practices, planting over 2,500 native and fruit-bearing trees since 2013. What was once degraded pasture now thrives as a dynamic ecosystem, demonstrating how humanity can coexist in harmony with nature.

Nestled in the heart of Bananal, São Paulo, the 280,000 m² property offers a serene escape immersed in nature. Guests can stay in our cozy forest-view chalet, enjoying privacy and the tranquility of the trees. Walking trails weave through the reforested landscape, and a refreshing stream invites you to reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world. This environment not only fosters biodiversity but also serves as a space for learning and living the principles of agroecology.

Located just 12 km from Bananal’s historic center, Sítio Tarumã offers a unique blend of nature and culture. Visitors can explore the town’s rich history through its monuments, colonial coffee-era mansions, and eco-tourism opportunities at nearby waterfalls. Our work at Sítio Tarumã exemplifies how agroecology can regenerate ecosystems, enrich communities, and inspire a more sustainable future.

Detalles del sistema agrícola

At Sítio Tarumã, our primary goal is to regenerate the land while fostering a deeper connection between people and nature. We envision a thriving Atlantic Forest ecosystem, where native species flourish alongside sustainable agroecological systems. By blending reforestation with practices like agroforestry and permaculture, we aim to create a model of land stewardship that serves as both an ecological haven and an educational platform for those passionate about sustainability

¿Qué sueñas para el futuro de la granja o del lugar en general?

Our dream is to inspire others to embrace a lifestyle in harmony with the environment. We aspire to expand our impact by hosting workshops, sharing knowledge, and welcoming more visitors to experience the transformative power of agroecology. Through collaboration and community, we hope to demonstrate that restoring the land is not only possible but essential for a healthier, more balanced future for all
